FAQ

Frequently asked.

Which notetakers does Lookout support?

Lookout is vendor-neutral and is built to read across Fireflies, Granola, and Otter, plus your calendar — so you get one memory across all of them instead of separate silos. Source availability depends on each tool's API tier; we'll be clear with design partners about what's live.

Is Lookout a notetaker?

No. Lookout doesn't record or transcribe calls — it's the memory layer on top of the notetakers you already use. You keep your tools and gain one queryable brain across them.

How is it different from my notetaker's own AI or MCP?

A notetaker can only reason over the calls it recorded, and it structurally can't read a competitor's data. Lookout's whole job is the seam between tools — recognizing the same decision across two sources and giving you one grounded answer in Claude Code.

Where does my data live and who can see it?

In your own private memory, isolated per-user at the database. Only you can read it; source credentials are encrypted and never exposed to the tool surface. See Security & privacy.

When is Lookout available?

Lookout is in private beta now, opening first to design-partner teams. If you want in, request early access — we're onboarding in small waves so every team gets a real setup, not a signup form. The connect command and MCP endpoint are already final, so nothing you set up now will change when we open more broadly.

How much does Lookout cost?

Early-access pricing is $19/month, locked in for founding users — the rate you join at is the rate you keep. It's free for design-partner teams for the duration of the beta. Recall runs on your own Claude tokens, so your questions stay yours; our billing only ever covers ingesting your meetings.

Do I have to pay to see my old meetings?

No. When you connect a source, Lookout backfills your past meetings automatically — that instant "it already remembers everything" moment is the free default, not a paid queue-skip. You start with a memory that's already full.

Will the price change after beta?

Founding-user pricing is locked in — if you join during early access at $19/month, that's your rate going forward. We'll introduce team tiers as we grow, but we won't move the floor out from under the people who backed us first.

Do you charge per question or per seat?

No per-question charge. Recall runs inside your own Claude Code on your own Claude tokens over MCP — we never see the conversation and we don't meter your questions. Our costs are on the ingestion side, so pricing stays simple as you use it more. Your tokens, not ours.
